It was with great sadness that we heard of the passing of our Founder, Ken Prue.
Northumberland Film Sundays started in 2003 with the first film in November of that year - along the way, Ken was the owner of the Mall Cinema but then moved to operating out of the Loft where he included live shows as well as specialty films including Opera. When he was forced to close the Loft, Ken then produced concerts, mostly Jazz, at Victoria Hall and one of his Concerts was by a friend, Mikal Hasek.
On hearing of Ken's passing, Mikal put a tribute on his Facebook page:
RIP Ken Prue . Died of a broken heart.
Sweet friend. Impresario supremo. Helped me through my trauma. Always there for me and so many more.
Good night sweet prince!
